- 9/28/06 Mark Tucker Program Draws Large Crowd
by Chris Crumley
Mark Tucker, one of the country's busiest advertising photographers,
gave a two-hour talk at the September 28th meeting with
60+ members of ASMPCV and APADC attending. Mark showed a
large body of his work, both personal and professional.
He talked about clients, work methods, talent, and his view
of the photographer's mindset needed to be successful in
the business of photography.
Chip Mitchell organized the program with the help of Cameron
Davidson from DC. The event was held in Herbert Cosby's
spacious and well-appointed studio in Richmond.
The chapter also held a very successful silent auction.

- 10/25/2006 ASMPCV Board Retreat in Virginia Beach
by Chris Crumley
Chapter board members traveled to Virginia Beach on October
6th for its annual one-day planning meeting. Chapter members
on the board typically clear a day without any other business
to focus on chapter plans for the coming year.
Based on member feedback, and the successes or failures
from previous years, education and other events are defined
and given rough time slots. The various board and general
members who have volunteered to make chapter activities
happen are assigned to events.
This year's Retreat was in Chris Crumley's studio.
